The concept of Essay on Eid
The word “Eid” is the Arabic language which means “happiness” or “returning day”. In Islam, Eid is a reward from Allaah, which is given to Muslims for worship, patience and sacrifice. This day is the day to thank Allah’s mercy and share happiness with others.
Eid -ul -Fitr – Fasting day after fasting
Eid -ul -Fitr is celebrated at the end of Ramadan. Ramadan is a blessed month in which Muslims are fasting, engage in prayer, Zikr and reciting the Qur’an. Fasting is the source of patience, endurance and the pleasure of Allah.
After Ramadan, when the moon of Shawal is seen, a message of happiness comes. On Eid -ul -Fitr, Muslims wake up early in the morning, take baths, wear new or clean clothes and offer collective prayers. Earlier, the charity is paid so that the poor and needy people can also share in the happiness of Eid.
After the Eid prayer, Muslims embrace, congratulate each other and prepare delicious dishes in their homes. Children wait anxiously for the day because they give them a big feast. This day gives a message of thanksgiving, love and brotherhood.
Eid -ul -Adha – The message of sacrifice
Eid -ul -Adha is also known as the Eid of Sacrifice. This Eid is celebrated in remembrance of the great sacrifice of Ibrahim when he intended to sacrifice his son Ishmael at the behest of Allah. Allah accepted their obedience and sent Ishmael a day for a sacrifice.
In memory of this incident, Muslims sacrifice animals every year. Cows, goats, camels or sheep are sacrificed and the meat is divided into three parts: one for the family, the other for relatives and friends, and the third for the poor and the poor.
Eid -ul -Adha’s message is that everything can be sacrificed for the pleasure of Allah. This is a practical picture of the essence, generosity and unity.
