Going to college is the dream of many students. College is a place where students enjoy a lot and create countless memories. College life is the best time of a student’s academic journey. A student can never forget college life; it is a time that remains in their memory forever.
College life marks a new beginning in a student’s journey. It makes us realize that we must carry our responsibilities while enjoying our freedom. During this phase, we also gain the awareness that we have grown up and are stepping towards practical life.
Like every other student, I too was very excited for my first day of college. At the same time, I was both happy and nervous. It is a feeling we all go through, yet one that is almost impossible to put into words. I had started preparing the night before — pressing my uniform, polishing my shoes, and packing my bag. Now, I was just waiting for that morning, the one that would change my life forever.
It was a beautiful, sunny day, the 1st of May, 2015. That day marked my very first day in college. After endless effort, patience, and hard work, I finally secured admission. My college was ranked as the number one college in Pakistan.

It was a strange feeling to sit there without knowing anyone. There was still some time before class started, so I was quietly looking around. In the meantime, a girl came and sat next to me. We started talking and since she was also talkative like me, we immediately got along. Over time, she became my close friend and we still keep in touch.
Then our class teacher came and there was a general introduction etc. which lasted for about thirty minutes. Everyone tried to show their best personality. Thus ended our first class and the rest of the day was spent in various activities and a welcoming atmosphere.
This was my first day of college. Very happy, lovely and memorable. The girls I made friends with that day later became my best friends. Thus my three years of college life passed in a blink of an eye. Even today I miss those days intensely, but they will always live in my memories. And now when I myself am a teacher and see new students starting their college life, a strange old memory comes back to my heart and I remember my college days with great respect and happiness.
